Clorox Spa® Scale & Stain Control is a liquid product that protects your spa and equipment from metal stains and scale formation on spa surfaces, heaters, piping, and equipment—preventing stains caused by iron, copper, and manganese. Test your spa water frequently to maintain a pH balance of 7.2-7.6 and alkalinity of 80-125ppm for plaster spas and 125-150 for vinyl or fiberglass spa. When fresh water that is occasionally added to your spa, it may contain some level of dissolved minerals and metals. The constant heat, evaporation and circulation in the tub can cause those elements to solidify and form scale or stains on surfaces.
